Your health visitor can undertake all routine checks except the 6 week checks. Please contact them for details.
Dr. Hayes has a particular interest in children’s problems and does most 8 month checks, usually on a Thursday afternoon by appointment.
8 weeks checks are performed by any GP, followed by 1st primary immunisation, by appointment only.
To ascertain where your nearest childhood clinic is situated and name of your health visitor, please telephone 020 3049 4780.
A list of the childhood clinics in the area can also be picked up from reception.
Most childhood immunisations are given at the surgery by our practice nurses; an appointment must be made through reception.
They are recommended every three years for women aged between 25 – 50 years old , five year recall from 50 – 64 years old (age parameters apply to Lambeth patients only).
Appointments can be made with the practice.
Generally if you have already had five or more tetanus injections you should not routinely require any more within your lifetime.
If you are unsure of your status with regard to any injections please speak to the practice nurse who will be able to advise you.
